  • Despite making significant strides in the process of urbanization within a short period of time, my home town seems to be headed towards failure due to many factors. The speed of such development and end is rapid and drastic, leaving lingering and profound harms on my hometown. The decline of Northeast China spreads like radiation; it exists permanently, and slowly and continuously reshapes local landscapes.

Yet, from the perspective of linear time, the future is uncertain. This kind of decline enables nature to regain its strength, and wild grass reclaims the land, bit by bit nibbling away at the traces of mankind; vitality also returns to desolateness.

The work aims to explore the relation between nature and society, and reflect on the contradictions of social development.
