  • Time and Passing III
  • Ukraine | Irena LAWRUSZKO
  • The main goal of my work is to show the beauty and structure of matter that I found in the abandoned ruins of a temple using graphic techniques. The journey to this mystical, abandoned place was the impetus for the creation of a series of graphics. The choice of working method and technique is important here. The image that was created is a kind of record of the passage of time and the destruction of a given temple. The etching technique used by me and the gilding technique (which is a graphic print) is also a record of the passing time.

I want my graphics to introduce the viewer to the atmosphere of the object I choose. I introduce a special type, color, corrosion, gilding, thus creating a specific type of light and matter, so that the viewer can feel the emotions that I want to convey through my graphics.
