David ARTEAGOITIA

Artist and Professor of the Printmaking Department of the Basque Country University of the Arts, Spain

David Arteagoitia (Bilbao 1980)

Active artist, PhD in printmaking and professor of graphic techniques at the University of the Basque Country where he directs the Department of Drawing and Printmaking. Director of the Open Portfolio program for emerging printmakers at the FIG Bilbao International Printmaking Festival, founding member of the IAPA International Academic Printmaking Alliance (China) and honorary international advisory member of Proyecto `ace (Argentina).

He collaborates with CAFA Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing (China), Proyecto 'ace in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Camberwell College of Arts (London), London College of Communication (London), Triennial of Graphic Art in Sofia (Bulgaria), George Enescu University of Art (Romania), Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal), Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation (Mallorca) or CIEC International Center of Contemporary Printmaking (A Coruña) where he teaches specialized courses in printmaking.

More than a hundred exhibitions in fairs such as Estampa Printmaking Art Fair, FIG Bilbao, Setup Bologna, Interprint London, and individual exhibitions in galleries such as Taller del Prado (Madrid), Spazio D (Italy), MA Studio (Beijing), Kunstverket Galleri (Norway), José Rincón (Madrid). His work is in institutions such as Aoya Museum of Modern Art (Japan), Museum of Humanist Art of Sidney (Australia), Zacatecas Art Museum (Mexico) or the Spanish National Library (Spain).
